Go Speed Racer...

Isn't it funny how people rush to get from one red light to another?

I'm sure there are a lot of analogies we could make between this phenomenon and the Christian life, but at the moment I don't have time so I'll let you do that on your own. Feel free to put your ideas in the comments section and we can have a nice little discussion.

Oh so true! True of the human condition...in my opinion. And the Christian life, well, I think we have a tendency to want to be spiritually mature really, really fast. And sometimes there's a "secret" competition to get "there" faster than someone else. But the distance "between red lights" is different for each of us. My experience is that once I learn something, and I really think I've learned it, you know, in my heart and soul, God shows me that I really didn't get it. It feels like I go back to square one (the first red light) but the reality is that I did grow a little bit. I just have to keep my eyes off that red light "ahead." :) Keep holding on to the adventures of faith!!!!!

Good thoughts. There is so much to do and learn on the way from one red light to the next.

You're right, its an adventure to be enjoyed, not rushed through.
