I walked in the woods today. Well not phenomenally. Actually, I was mowing the yard. But in my mind I walked in the woods. I walked with my dad. We walked in the footsteps of his grandparents on the farm where they had lived and raised crops. We walked. We sat in a blind and looked for deer.
It was a very happy memory. But it also broke my heart. My kids are growing up so fast and I have yet to walk with them through the deer woods. I wonder if we ever will. Its a part of life that I had hoped to make a part of their childhood.
Don't feel sorry for me. Our life is good. God takes care of us and we are trying to do what he wants us to do. My kids are safe and healthy and I have nothing to be upset about. But sometimes I am anyway.
